This project we've chosen to showcase highlights some very important aspects of the design process: art direction and photography.

What you see on the left is a straight shot of the products, which are expensive one-of-a-kind Antiques. Collectors worldwide will buy these pieces without hesitation and this layout is what the client initially requested. However, with a very subtle creative direction (shown on the right), not only are the products instantly more interesting and appealing, but it also somehow seems much easier to get a good look at the beauty of the items. Because it is more interesting, our eye is drawn in and we naturally seem to see the jewels better. It is a kind of seduction. It feels effortless and it looks simple, but it's a great idea and it is beautifully executed. Such a presentation could not be cobbled together from cheap stock photography.

With a  great idea and the creative freedom to really execute it properly, there is no limit on what is possible. The results speak for themselves.
